When I land at Heathrow
The Language I will know
I was amazed at what I could see
And I was excited about what this adventure could be
I'm nervous about not getting lost as I go
So I'm taking a taxi from Heathrow.
I am a Year 5 student at Pt England School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Rooms 9 and 10. My teachers are Mr Baxendine and Mr Goodwin.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved your poem. You did a great job of finding a word to rhyme with Heathrow! That is no easy feat but you did it. Awesome.
I also love your selfie. I can completely relate to it as it looks a lot like mine! I couldn't help but notice that you are wearing a really vividly coloured t-shirt from the Netherlands in your selfie. Are you and/or your family Dutch? One of my best friends here at the university is a woman named Nike and she is from the Netherlands. She had to learn how to speak English when she moved to New Zealand and it was really challenging but she did it!
I find it very inspiring to see people who embrace a challenge and do their very best. You, like Nike, have taken on this Summer Learning Journey challenge and done a wonderful job. I'm really looking forward to reading your posts for Days 6 and 7 now.
